Got back yesterday from a family holiday (+22) on the Isle of Wight. Blessed with really good weather, as my sunburnt feet will testify. Anyway, some pics on Flickr.
If you’re after somewhere to stay with a lot of people – then I can recommend Buntshill Barns.
My last night there gave me a strange dream about [...]

Had an interesting weekend away in Prague. There are some pictures on Flickr, though not many – as I didn’t have my camera with me, as was out drinking (on my own) most of the time.
I was supposed to meet up with some Travbuddy people, for the Czech Beer Festival, but they never turned up [...]
Thoughts on Japan

Had a great time in Japan. The country (from what I saw of two cities) is amazing. The people are exceptionally friendly, honest and unselfish. I add them to the people of Fiji, for being the friendliest I’ve met so far.
Some pictures here.
Some thoughts on what I observed:

Just a quick entry to say I’m really enjoying Japan. Osaka was a lot of fun, Hanami was beautiful! Didn’t get to the baseball as friend couldn’t get tickets.
Kyoto is less modern, once you leave the station, and lots of tourists. Both have their own merits. Temples and shrines in Kyoto are interesting [...]

Going to see a baseball game in Osaka, which should be cool. I’ve only [...]
Antarctica

I’m reading about Antarctica at the moment – Terra Incognita: Travels in Antarctica, then today saw this link on Ma.gnolia.com: photos.
I’d love to go there, especially as colder climates appeal to me. I’m really not a hot-weather person.
Booked my holiday for next year – Osaka in Japan. Then going to see if I can track down a friend from Southbank University who I lost contact with – he used to live in Yokohama.
Current header image is a Garter snake (I think) that we saw in Ontario.
I’m back from two weeks in Ontario.
A few pics can be found on Flickr here.
Chipmunks and Beer

Just some of the things that I’ve seen a lot of in the last week, or so, in Ontario. Been out in quite a few of the National Parks, haven’t seen any actual bears yet – but they’re around.
