I’ve got a simple ‘push’ application and service (written in PHP) working. Just need to work out how the feedback mechanism works, so that you can remove old connections.

These were the best sites I found, for help: Macoscoders and iPhone Software Development. I have to say that Objective-C is counter-intuitive and I’m glad I’ve got some good books!

Genius.

Ah, such a shame, time for a new phone as my current one is starting to fail (the little joystick on the Sony Ericcson is sticking) – so I have an excuse to get an iPhone! My cousin’s also looking at writing some iPhone apps and I said that I would help out.

Favourite apps so far:

- Remote – lets me control, via wi-fi, iTunes on my laptop
- Shazam – let it listen to some music and it will tell you what it is (100% success rate so far)
- Tape Measure
- Units
- Twitterific – think I might try out a few other Twitter clients
- Stanza – for eBooks. Going to try reading Ulysses on it later on.

The Facebook app won’t authenticate for some reason….
