There was a redwing in the neighbours’ garden, which is a rare sighting. It looks like a thrush, with red under its wings. I think this was quite a young one, as it was fluffy (might have been the cold) and its feathers looked new.

New header image courtesy of neighbours’ ducks, who like to use the puddles outside our house. They were also all asleep, with their heads tucked into their wings, this afternoon.
