Ordered a tent yesterday, it arrived today. So kudos to Gear Zone, even if they could do with running a grammar checker over their website. I originally tried ordering a tent from Field and Trek, but for the third time - their website messed up; my order was rejected for some unknown reason. I’m definitely removing F&T from my list of sites to use.

I’ve even got a video of how to put my tent up - via the manufacturer’s (Terra Nova) website.

Starting to plan a trip, to do the Hadrian’s Wall walk - 84 miles (approx. 140km?). Just ordered a one-man tent, as my last tent was trashed in the floods last year.

Got sent a bunch of free information on the walk, accommodation and so on - now to do some planning.

FINALLY! I’ve found a CD that I’ve been after for years. It’s by a Danish band called Sort Sol. There’s a track on there, from the film Night Watch (not the dreadful remake, the original Danish film). The film is superb, make sure you watch it ASAP.

Lost Tunes

A new website - Lost Tunes, for “rare music”. I think they’ve got a way to go yet, if Nick Drake’s album Bryter Layter is anything to go by. ITunes - 79p a track = £4.99 for album; Lost Tunes = 99p a track = £5.99 for album.

The tracks are DRM-free, which doesn’t really have that much bearing on me.

Yeah baby, off to Canada again in September. There’s nothing much going on in the job-market at the moment, due to the school-holidays. Need to keep myself occupied for August - might go and do the 90 mile Hadrian’s Wall walk.

A friend needs to go to Canada to validate his visa (he is moving to Canada), so we’re making a road-trip of it.

Just downloaded the first track of the new album from Kings of Leon. It’s kind of more of the same really. The track is only available for a short time.
