Ah, such a shame, time for a new phone as my current one is starting to fail (the little joystick on the Sony Ericcson is sticking) – so I have an excuse to get an iPhone! My cousin’s also looking at writing some iPhone apps and I said that I would help out.
Favourite apps so far:
- Remote – lets me control, via wi-fi, iTunes on my laptop
- Shazam – let it listen to some music and it will tell you what it is (100% success rate so far)
- Tape Measure
- Units
- Twitterific – think I might try out a few other Twitter clients
- Stanza – for eBooks. Going to try reading Ulysses on it later on.
The Facebook app won’t authenticate for some reason….
Hehe. I was fairly sure you’d cave!
Did you get it yet, and if so is it living up to your expectations?
Gotta say the applications are really starting to come through now, and there are certainly a few really good ones.
Hope the rumours of Steve Jobs’ heart problems don’t spell a downturn for Apple. Have enjoyed seeing their strong design form come through with their stuff and the rest of the competition trying to follow suit.
I got it today: it was raining, I was feeling like I needed cheering up…
It’s really good. Going to try and sign up for the Apple Developer ($99), so that I can start putting my own apps onto the phone.
