I’ve been aware of their existence but never actually read any of the cartoons. Whilst in Bremen I read a couple of books of their cartoons – they are very funny and also philosophical.

you should ask Mark (A). He has the complete works of Calvin and Hobbes in Leather bound volumes. It was his leaving present from Glasgow. I found it hard to let him have them.
