Stepping back from things

It has been really interesting not working for over a month now. You get time to reflect on things going on around you. One of the most striking things - has been watching everybody rushing around; rush to work, work, rush home from work, rush, rush, rush. People flying past you at 100mph on the motorway, only to meet them at the next roundabout. Do you actually know why you are working? Will you ever get to retire and enjoy yourself?

lyrics

Follow up, after watching a film on TV tonight - Get Over It:

“Faith pours from your walls, drowning your calls
I’ve tried to hear, you’re not near
Remembering when I saw your face
Shining my way, pure timing
Now I’ve fallen in deep, slow silent sleep
it’s killing me, I’m dying

To put a bit of sunshine in your life

Soliel all overyou, warm sun pours over me
Soliel all over you
Warm sun

Now this slick fallen rift came like a gift
your body moves ever nearer
And you will dry this tear
Now that we’re here, and greave for me, not history
But now I’m dry of thoughts, wait for the rain
Then its replaced, sun setting

And suddenly we’re in love with everything

Soliel all over you, warm sun pours over me
Soliel all over you
Warm sun”

IBS

Got officially diagnosed with IBS during the week, only taken the doctors a year to give me a diagnosis. Now taking some drugs, which seem to have reduced the pain and the bloating. Not sure I fancy taking them for the rest of my life though. Maybe the travelling will help?

I know that eating Mexican food and drinking Coronas is probably not a good idea either, but it was damn tasty!

Belleruche with DJ Vadim

Went to see a band that I’ve seen a couple of times last night - Belleruche. It was their new album launch-party at the Luminaire and they had a few special guests. DJ Vadim was there, if quite eclectic, he was mixing up some good tunes. It wasn’t until a few days ago that I realised that I’d be in London on 7/7, the day of the bombings….

I’m now the proud owner of their new album, which isn’t released until next week.

SPAM makes me laugh sometimes

I can’t wait for a visit from the fairy mentioned below:

spam

Only problem - is that I’m not sure if it’s the fairy that has a big one, or that it can give you a big one.

traffic

Traffic on the motorways is just getting to a stupid level. How can you be in a traffic jam on the M40 at 10.30pm? The M25 is just a joke, as is the M6.
