travels…

Inter-rail global pass for first month or so, then round-the-world flight ticket to make sure I get to Las Vegas, Rio and finally back from Quito to the UK. Now I just need to sort out each country that I want to see.

I wonder how long

It took to make this music video? Reminds me of a mixture of Peter Gabriel and a cartoon-like music video made a couple of years ago, by a Danish (?) band, I think.

ps. Junior Senior.

Hate daytime TV

So I’m watching the webcams for Springwatch. Need the Golden Eagles to be a bit more lively.

Also BeaverCam :)

bookshop idea

Had an idea about a second-hand bookshop - allow people to borrow books, but at the normal cost of the book, as a deposit. If the customer decides to keep the book, then they don’t return it; if they don’t want to keep the book - then they return it, in good condition, and get the deposit back. Regularly returned books are then earning more money, than if they were just purchased once.

Stiffkey, Norfolk

Some pics (from mobile phone, not new one) from the weekend.

Close-fielding for my aunt, with beach cricket:

Spotted this butterfly in the dunes:

A very nice cake:

annoying things parents do

Mum:
- saying “pardon” to everything I say, despite hearing exactly what I said
- leaving the windscreen wipers on, despite the rain ending five hours ago
- driving up to a junction and applying the brakes and the clutch - with no engine-breaking (bringing the clutch back up, between gear-changes)

Dad:
- coughing incessantly and then sneezing
- asking if I’m alright

A four hour trip to Norfolk was quite a testing time. The new Sat Nav Dad got just increased the petty arguments.

bookshop, mmm, ponder ponder

Bookshop going for sale

for 15k, with 10k rent a year. If I wasn’t set on travelling, I’d be after this.

Feels like heaven

The first proper shower, after being camping. Maybe not quite as good as the shower after canoeing for four days in Canada, but pretty close.

Pictures and words to come on weekend in Stiffkey (Norfolk), as I’m utterly knackered.

that’s it

No more Snowdrop.

the end is nigh

Last day at Snowdrop for me today. Must remember to go and buy cakes and try and say goodbye to those who I like.
