Apparently men aren’t allowed to wear brown shoes to meetings. They must wear a tie and a suit as well; the tie must be done up.
And women? Not allowed to show their belly buttons. That’s just superb. Women can pretty much wear what they like, men must be formal.

Left to their own devices, women will look pretty presentable. The same can’t be said about men in general. I’m not saying its right that the rules should differ.
