Why are anti-bloat medications named so embarrassingly? Wind-eze, Windy-pops, Bloat-away….. I went with Deflatine, as it makes paying for it at the counter much easier.
Ok, I made some of those names up.
Wonderings, wanderings and waffle

Why do restaurant staff ask you how your meal is (half way through) when you’ve got a mouth full of food?
Why are some people superficial?
Why am I still here?

Saw this film at the cinema today. First off - why employ an American actor to play a South African? DiCaprio’s accent was annoying (yar yar) and I’m sure there are great South African actors desperate to get international recognition. Secondly - it was a good film otherwise! It wasn’t as hard-hitting as I’d expected, though I suspect that might be due to me watching Hotel Rwanda some time ago.

Nice of Google Mail to classify my domain renewal e-mail as SPAM. Good luck I remembered that it was due for renewal this month (3 days ago).
Mobile phone random picture #4 - taken on a walk in the Cotswolds somewhere. It amuses me (read the sign).

Really interesting program on CH4 last night about child geniuses (geniii?!). The family with lots of them - freaked me out; how scary were they? The child author was really cool, he seemed to be the only one with his feet on the ground and reasonably happy. I might check out one, or more, of his books on Amazon, under his pseudonym of Tobias Druitt.
Dante, the supposed philosopher, I suspect is destined to fall into the wrong crowd and be a tragedy waiting to happen.
Any way - a picture of an octopus, made on a beach in Pembrokeshire last Summer by my cousin and her kids.

I took an on-line depression test a couple of months ago. This was the result of my submission:
“You answered 10 items out of 10 “Yes”.
According to The National Mental Health Association, 5 or more yes answers indicates that you may be suffering from clinical depression.”
Today I’ve been listening to Nick Drake who overdosed (suicide or accidental… you decide), at the age of 26 and his story is very sad. His lyrics and music are really good; can’t believe I’ve never heard of him before.
I miss John Peel’s shows - where he would introduce you to new and old bands that you probably never heard of before.

Watched an interesting German film called Antibodies (Antikörper) at the weekend. If a god created everything - then it also created evil. I’ve been thinking quite a lot about this recently - I don’t believe in god, but if I did - then how would I square what is going on in the world with a god’s existence? The god is allowing paedophiles, rapists and the like to carry out their evil.

Watched the highlights from New Zealand today. Can’t believe it’s two months since I was in Dubai watching the 7s there. Also two months since I fractured my arm (radial head); wish it would stop cracking (like when you crack your knuckles) - it hurts :o(
